If you're in Hampton Roads and looking for seafood that actually hits, Boil Bay Seafood City is thee spot. Compared to similar restaurants in the area, their flavors are unmatched. You can taste the difference in every bite, especially with their signature "boil bay sauce". My go-to? A boil bag with 1/2 lb of shrimp (head off), 1/2 lb of sausage with spicy boil bay sauce, and a side of cajun seafood rice. It's perfection every single time. Oh, and do yourself a favor--get the hush puppies. They're top tier, especially with that honey butter. You won't regret it. The vibes here are immaculate. Amazing food, great ambiance and incredible service! We have been to one of their other locations and I rated the food. This place gets a 5 star for the food just like the other location! This time they get an additional 5 stars for the fantastic fun!! We came here after spreading grandpa's ashes! The wait staff was FANTASTIC. Food Fantastic and it was incredibly fun!
The food was seasoned perfectly. The wings with the Boil Bay seasoning were so flavorful. I got the mussel boil and it was one of the best. The corn and potatoes were very good. My husband enjoyed the clam chowder so much he ordered a 2nd. Highly recommend!!!
The snow crab was delicious in the boil bay special sauce! Amazing service and lovely ambiance/music. 10/10 recommend and will be back soon
